अगले दलाईलामा के चयन पर अमेरिका तय करेगा चीन के लिए सीमाएं
वाशिंगटन, 19 सितंबर 2019, (आरएनआई)। दलाई लामा के स्वास्थ्य को लेकर चिंताओं के बीच अमेरिका चीन के लिए कुछ सीमाएं तय करने पर विचार कर रहा है ताकि वह तिब्बतियों के आध्यात्मिक गुरु का उत्तराधिकारी चुनने में हस्तक्षेप नहीं कर पाए।

एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी से मिली चेतावनी और कांग्रेस में विचाराधीन एक विधेयक के जरिए अमेरिका चीन को पहले ही यह बात स्पष्ट कर देने पर विचार कह रहा है कि अगर वह उत्तराधिकारी चुनने की प्रक्रिया में हस्तक्षेप करेगा तो उसे अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर अपमान झेलना पड़ेगा।

84 साल के 14वें दलाई लामा ने अपनी लगातार यात्राओं को कम कर दिया है और उन्हें इस साल की शुरुआत में सीने में संक्रमण के चलते अस्पताल में भर्ती भी कराया गया था। हालांकि इस बात के कोई संकेत नहीं हैं कि उन्हें स्वास्थ्य से जुड़ी कोई गंभीर समस्या है।

बहरहाल, तिब्बती कार्यकर्ता और चीन इस बात से भली-भांति परिचित हैं कि दलाई लामा का निधन हिमालयी क्षेत्र (तिब्बत) को ज्यादा स्वायत्तता देने के उनके प्रयासों के लिए एक बड़ा झटका साबित होगा।

चीन ने दलाई लामा के प्रतिनिधियों से नौ सालों तक कोई बातचीत नहीं की है और लगातार यह संकेत दिया है कि उनका उत्तराधिकारी चीन चुनेगा जिसके बारे में उसका मानना है कि वह तिब्बत पर उसके निरंकुश शासन का समर्थन करेगा।

अमेरिकी कांग्रेस में हाल में पेश किए गए एक विधेयक में किसी भी चीनी अधिकारी के तिब्बती बौद्ध उत्तराधिकार परंपराओं में हस्तक्षेप पर प्रतिबंध की अपील की गई है। पूर्व एशिया के लिए विदेश मंत्रालय के शीर्ष अधिकारी डेविड स्टीलवेल ने कांग्रेस के समक्ष कहा कि अमेरिका तिब्बतियों की “अर्थपूर्ण स्वायत्तता” के लिए दबाव बनाता रहेगा।
